Skin Renewal Overnight Mask

About the product

The 04 Skin Renewal Overnight Mask aims for intensive regeneration and skin barrier care overnight. As a concentrated care formula, it utilizes the extended skin absorption during the nightly regeneration phase.

In this deep dive, you'll learn how our selected bioactive ingredients work deep within the skin's structure at a molecular level. We'll show you what they do, why we chose them, and how they help keep your skin healthy, resilient, and radiant.

While the skin's metabolism switches to repair processes at night, bioactive substances can penetrate deeper layers and act at the cellular level.

  • For whom?

Suitable for all skin types; especially dry, sensitive, redness-prone, or irritated skin, as well as for first lines or a dull complexion. Perfect for anyone who wants to specifically support their skin's nighttime renewal process.

  • For what?

It supports nighttime skin renewal, soothes irritation, strengthens the barrier, can even out skin tone, make dryness-related wrinkles appear smoother, and contributes to a smoother, more even-looking surface through lipid and moisture replenishment.

  • What will I see and when?

Instantly, your skin feels soft and relaxed. After a few days, the surface appears calmer and more even; over the following weeks, you'll experience a finer texture, increased elasticity, and a fresher overall appearance. Results may vary from person to person.

So why this complex combination of active ingredients?

Nighttime skincare offers a window of opportunity for targeted regeneration. The 04 Skin Renewal Overnight Mask combines four active ingredients to simultaneously support four key skin processes:

Retinoids such as retinal, retinyl palmitate, and Retinatural® promote cell regeneration and structural improvement by specifically targeting cell renewal, differentiation, and collagen synthesis via nuclear receptors. Peptide complexes stimulate the extracellular matrix (ECM), while Renovage® (teprenone) extends the proliferation of mature cells through telomere stabilization – resulting in increased skin density, elasticity, and a smoother texture.

The combination of active ingredients was chosen so that their effects functionally complement each other. While there is no clinical evidence in the strictest scientific sense for true synergies between these active ingredients, numerous mechanistic and experimental indications suggest that additive, complementary, or even synergistic effects are likely: Retinoids and peptides complement each other in promoting collagen synthesis and skin renewal; antioxidant substances such as ubiquinone, tocopherol, and dimethylmethoxy chromanol protect against oxidative stress at different molecular levels; and soothing plant extracts such as Betapur® and Melostem™ have both anti-inflammatory and barrier-stabilizing effects.

Plant extracts from Monarda didyma (Melostem™), Peumus boldus (Betapur®), as well as bisabolol and allantoin, target skin soothing and inflammaging control by addressing micro-inflammation. They inhibit pro-inflammatory signaling pathways, relieve irritation, and strengthen the skin barrier, making them beneficial even for sensitive or stressed skin.

The combination of Melostem™ and Neurolight® is designed to lighten and reduce pigmentation spots. This treatment influences neuronal and oxidative signaling pathways involved in the overproduction of melanin. The result is visibly smoother skin and a reduction in both superficial and deeper hyperpigmentation.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Dimethylmethoxy Chromanol, and Ubiquinone are responsible for antioxidant protection and lipid synthesis. They neutralize free radicals (reactive oxygen molecules) and interrupt oxidative stress. Shea butter and jojoba oil provide biomimetic lipids to stabilize the skin barrier, improve occlusion properties (protecting the skin from moisture loss with a breathable lipid film), and increase skin hydration without being comedogenic, i.e., without promoting breakouts.

Conclusion

This combined strategy in the Skin Renewal Overnight Mask addresses four important, biologically relevant skin processes overnight, based on scientific research and tailored to the skin's physiology. Nighttime is the natural window for active ingredients that should not be combined with UV radiation. This makes the 04 Skin Renewal Overnight Mask an essential and uncomplicated part of your evening routine for healthy, resilient, and even-toned skin.
